We are a community of diverse but like-minded professionals working together to empower women and girls and make the world a better place for all. Zonta believes Women’s Rights are Human Rights.

MissionZonta International is a leading global organization of individuals working together to build a better world for women and girls. The Zonta Club of Harrisburg-Hershey was chartered on March 11, 1980.

VisionZonta International envisions a world in which women’s rights are recognized as human rights and every woman is able to achieve her full potential. In such a world, women have access to all resources and are represented in decision-making positions on an equal basis with men. In such a world, no woman lives in fear of violence.

Zonta EmblemZonta, meaning honest and trustworthy, is derived from Lakhota (Teton Dakota), a language of the Native American Sioux peoples. It was adopted in 1919 to symbolize the combined qualities of honesty and trust, inspiration, and the ability to work together for service and world understanding.
